Monthly Project for November, 2005
Materials Needed:
- 1-2/3 yard fabric (this will make two poncho wraps)
- Matching thread
Measure and Cut
Cut and then straighten the fabric into a rectangle of approximately 60"
x 20".
Construction
1. Finish all the edges of the rectangle by serging
and or hemming .
2. Pin the rectangle into a wrap, placing one short edge of the rectangle under the opposite long edge. You should end up with a V-shape. (See picture.)
3. Try it on before sewing the seam. To make the neck opening smaller, simply
move the inside edge over more than the outside edge to create a smaller neck
opening . Once you have checked the neck opening, top stitch the seam
and you are done.
