Zabuton Pillow

Materials

• 1 yd fabric (contrast for backing)
• 1/2 yd Fabric of your choice (Print)
• Purchase 24"x 24" pillow or 3 pcs. 24" x 1" batting

All your seams should be 5/8 inch

Instructions

1. Cut backing fabric into 2 pcs. ( 17 " x 33" )
2. Cut fabric into 17 3/8" square.
3. Stitch backing fabric right sides together, 11 inches from the edges, using a 5/8" seam leaving approximately a 13" opening for turning.
4. Right sides together sew backing to 17 3/8" square using a 5/8" seam allowances. Stitch each side 5/8" from each corner. Backstitch.
5. Miter corners. Clipping excess seams.
6. Turn right side out.
7. Slip purchased 24" pillow or your 3 pcs 24"x 1" batting to stuff.
8. Using a slipstitch to close opening.
